Typography Portraits

For the typography portraits I chose three different photos and used type differently to express value, shape, and line. For the shape portrait I chose this photo because the pot and the spoon form natural shapes.
For the line portrait I used type to express line. I chose this photo because it contained simple lines and it is not a complicated picture. The words consist of Shel Silverstein’s poetry because its fun and silly and I grew up reading them.
For the value portrait I used different fonts, font sizes, and spacing to create the illusion of highlighting and shadowing. I also used Shel Silverstein's poems in this portrait.
